Saturday Night Live and Fox Friends

I admit I haven't watched Fox and Friends -- I had no idea what I was missing!  The good folks at Saturday Night Live obviously have had more time than me to watch and put together a skit about recent events.  Makes me proud to watch other networks.
When you click on the link there is brief advertisement...but it is worth the wait.

Robin Williams doing accents...

I always wanted to have a real, true and very noticeable accent.  I love them.  I still toss in an accent here and there just to make my stories sound better.  Several years ago I got bored at a case staffing at the agency where I worked so I did my entire case staffing with a Russian accent.  I was pretty new to the group and several people thought I might be Russian.  I loved that.

Speaking of accents, I found this clip with Robin Williams doing a short series of different accents on Ellen's show.  Evidently Robin was challenged to do these accents to raise money for Comic Relief and, as usual, Robin was up to the task of performing.

I hope you enjoy this (btw I wrote that with a Turkish accent to honor my friend, Derya).

Pap Smears at Walgreens!

I have been out of the blog business for a few days but I am back, with a great little video done by Stephen Colbert about the latest antics on Captial Hill.  Pretty funny stuff on many levels.

It's good to be back...

You May Want to Check Out These Places on Your Next Road Trip...or Not

Today, in case you missed it (on purpose), there was a link on the MSN site for "Weird Roadside Attractions" right here in the good old USA.  So, if you are about to take a road trip you may want to check them out or find a route that avoids seeing them.    Happy travels...

Aries Horoscope

If you were a bundle of joy that arrived between March 21 and April 20th, you are an ARIES.  The sign for all the Aries of the world is a Ram although before it was voted on by the ancients, there was talk of the Aries sign being a platypus. Obviously, the Ram won.

Those of the Aries persuasion are responsible, self-reliant, headstrong, and strong leaders.  A few of the better known Aries are Sandra Day O'Connor, Elton John, Loretta Lynn and some guy who sells Buicks named, Oscar.  So, you Aries are in good company.

As the first sign in the Zodiac, Aries are in for lots of "firsts" this year.  Seems you are going to be the first to try out a new idea from Apple.  You, of course, know the iPad and the iPod, but you will be soon be using the new iPoke.  This small, hand held cattle prod device will enable you to poke and prod people to get out of your way without touching them.  Such a fun device and useful, too as it can be effective within a 3 mile range.  Apple is sure this is another winner!

Later in the year, your Moon is aligned with Jupiter and this means you are finding yourself strangely attracted to old socks...in fact, you start a whole collection of socks....Past & Present...and try to rent space so that you can display this growing collection of clothing that only you and some woman who named her first born, "Stretch" are interested in.  Fortunately, this phase is time limited...although the lease for your "Socks Space" may have a longer time frame.

As the year twists into the New Year, your 5th house will plunge into your new moon.  This means it is time to move and you have found the perfect place....at least in your present state of astrological influences.  This house is made out of  Fruit Loops, Cheerios and Doritos.  Can you picture it?  Well...no one can talk you out of this purchase and no one wants to visit or live there.  So, there you have it...a biodegradable house located right outside the city limits of Juarez.  Sometimes the planets do mean things.

So, Aries people, that's all for now.  Happy Astrological Moments!

Ellen and some funny commercials

Ellen's staff is on the look out for some funny commercials so that she can share them on her show.
There are four in this video...the last two are the funniest..at least in my opinion, but all are worth looking at.

Otters Holding Hands

Okay, I am a sap for Otters...I love their little faces and the way they swim and play.  I could watch them all day.  Here is a video that isn't really funny but it made me smile and is really kind of sweet.  So, if you love Otters like I love Otters, you will love this:   http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=epUk3T2Kfno

Wanda Sykes...

Wanda Sykes and a short bit about "coming out"...with a twist.

Just in case you aren't sure where to click, click on "Wanda Sykes" to see the clip.

Charlie Sheen

I don't really want to get on the Charlie Sheen bandwagon, although it is tempting to say some humorous things about him and his behavior. I have given  in, however, to a cartoon I was sent by my sister-in-law...

Carol Burnett Show

I am old enough to remember watching Carol Burnett...I loved her show...Tim Conway, Harvey Korman, Vicki Lawrence.  I thought she was (and still is) amazingly talented.  This clip shows several bits and pieces of her show, including the dysfunctional family of the year, a skit about Gone With The Wind and other goodies.

So here is a salute to Carol Burnett  and laughter.

George Lopez Show

George Lopez is one funny guy.  When his show was on ABC I was busy doing something and never saw any episodes, but thank goodness for recycled programs and cable!  I think this episode (although it is about Halloween) is a great example of his show and his humor.

More Babies...

I just received a YouTube video about Evian Roller Babies....very clever and cute.  Babies are in.

Click on Evian Roller Babies to view.  This commercial may encourage people to have a baby but I say don't do it unless you have one that can roller skate like the babies in this video.   Wow!

African American Comedians are Celebrated this Month

February is Black History Month and there have been some fabulous Black Comedians.
Lots of fun to look over the site (click on Black Comedians) and find out tidbits of information that you may not know about each of them.

It's Pisces Time....

If you were born between February 20th and March 20th you are a Pisces.  In case you missed this in past astrological readings, the sign for Pisces are two fishes swimming in opposite directions which is symbolic of the ADD features of most Pisces.  Pisces people are creative, understanding, naive, and a bit idealitstic.

Jump to the present and you will find Pisces everywhere noticing that their Moon is oppositional of just about everything.  Talk about tantrums...Pisces people wrote the book.  Currently Pisces seem very drawn to sculptures and art work made from old chewing tobacco, but don't ask me why.  So if you live with a Pisces don't be surprised if they bring home something old and smelly that they adore.  This will pass but until it does your home will not be fun to live in or visit.

Around mid summer Neptune and Jupiter, Pisces ruling planets, will be aligned and this event will have you Pisces swimming around like the crazy fishes you are.  What this alignment will bring is a sense of joy and harmony as you become a Hare Krishna, marry someone named Moonbeam and once again start the long honored tradition of passing out pamphlets and begging for money at the ariport.  The shaved hair and orange robes will only enhance your sense of delight as both family and friends avoid you until this phase of the planets pass.  As for your marriage to Moonbeam don't get too invested...

Later in the year your 8th house will be superimposed on Tony Orlando.   It seems that you are going to start your own reality show about composting.  What a hit this is sure to be as you demonstrate composting throughout the year.  Can't wait for that to happen.

All in all you Pisces people are about to have a year that is just that--a year.  Enjoy what you can and Happy Planets!

If You Have a Toddler of Course You Have to Make a Crazy YouTube Video

This YouTube video which came to me via a friend is crazy and funny, and some wacky parents are undoubtedly going to have to go to therapy later in life and explain why they decided to do this video featuring their little girl.

Maybe parenthood is more fun than I believe.   To see what I mean click the link below:

A Fun Ad

My friend, Toby, sent this to me and I loved it and I am sharing it with anyone who has yet to see it.  Be sure to read the information carefully before you click on the link.

HEMA is a Dutch department store. The first store opened on November 4, 1926, in Amsterdam. Now there are 150 stores all over the Netherlands .

Take a look at HEMA's product page (catalog) -just wait a couple of seconds and watch what happens.  DON'T click on any of the items in the picture; just wait..

This company has a sense of humor and a great computer programmer, who has too much time on his hands. Click on the link below:

Bob Hope

I do not really understand how my mind works but some days I wake up with people or ideas in my head and I have to share them...what else am I supposed to do with them?

Today I woke up thinking of Bob Hope...go figure! So when I had a second I looked on YouTube (my new best friend), and found this great little video tribute to him.  There are some funny and some touching parts and it made me like him even more after seeing it.  So, wherever you are, Bob Hope, I got the message.

To view the video click on his name....

The Path To Enlightenment is Rocky

I was sent this story by a friend of mine and I thought it was funny...usually you won't find the "F word " in my postings but sometimes it comes with the story.  I dedicate this to no one:

The Krispy Kreme Doughnut Race

I try really hard to keep up with the world news, but I have been missing something for the last few years--the Krispy Kreme Challenge in Raleigh, North Carolina.  This event has been going on at least since 2008 and I have yet to travel there and register for this amazing race.

Here are the details--about 7,500 people this year got up in the early morning and ran for two miles, grabbed a box of a dozen Krispy Kreme doughnuts, ate them, and then ran back along the same route for another two miles.  Talk about a challenge....seems the run burns about 2,400 calories which is just about the total number of calories for a dozen Krispy Kreme glazed doughnuts.

I am inspired to start my own run for the doughuts every weekend.  I will run a total of four miles to eat a dozen doughuts any day.  So, yay North Carolina and yay Krispy Kreme.

Oh I couldn't find the lastest run on YouTube but here is how it looked last year:   http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EP9Q1hx6fQU&feature=related      Fun times...
